SOTAI: Meridian & Postural Rebalancing Exercises
Course led by Andrew Parfitt
Saturday 19th & Sunday 20th July '08
Venue: The Boghill Centre, Kilfenora, Co. Clare. Beautiful residential centre on the Burren.
Sotai (literally, ‘opposite to exercise’) is essentially defined as effortless movement to create body harmony. Sotai is therefore a highly effective system of simple exercises that equalise muscle tone and correct distortions in the posture. It can very effectively eliminate pain in the back, neck or shoulders, and release muscular stiffness or pain anywhere in the body.
Sotai uses the principle of following the line of least resistance. For example, if your neck will not turn easily to the left, then exercises based around moving the neck to the right, away from pain and stiffness, will re-establish mobility. It is a perfect complement to Shiatsu practice, or can be used as a standalone treatment.
For Shiatsu graduates, or students on Stage Two (European Shiatsu School) or above, this course leads to a certificate to professionally practice Anma-Sotai Japanese Bodywork. This course is usually in great demand, so don’t miss out.
Fee: €230 (includes food and one night accommodation. Single & Double rooms €11 extra per person )
