3 year Shiatsu Therapy Diploma

  • TBA
  • Cork School of Shiatsu

Follows on from the 1 year Bodywork Certificate

Although part time, these 1 and 3 Year courses require commitment, focus, time and energy. Study and practice are essential for completion of the course.

People learn shiatsu for many different reasons, not all want to practice professionally. Some come to expand their self awareness and understanding of the fundamental workings of the body-mind. Many are transformed in the process. The experiential nature of the course nurtures sensitivity and skill with body mechanics, (eg. stretching, rotating etc), and Qi, that basic life force that animates the potential within. Practice, both supervised and at home, challenges and integrates the learning, thus building confidence and humility essential for clinical application.

Facelift Bodywork is a gentle and effective technique that rejuvenates your face and offers deep relaxation to both mind and body. It consists of a variety of techniques including muscle release, connective tissue release, vibrational techniques and oil massage that focuses on the patterns of stress and tension locked up in the face. It’s incredibly effective, with clearly observable results apparent after the first session. It is almost certainly the most effective facial rejuvenation system there is – all achieved purely from bodywork, without the use of invasive needles, injections, lasers, machinery or surgery.

Please note: To qualify for the Face Lift Bodywork Certificate the student is required to complete 12 recorded treatments after the training and give an assessment to one of our teachers.

Course requirement: Basic Anatomy and Physiology qualification, Massage, Beauty or Shiatsu qualification.
